Day 1
Casablanca / Fez
Arrival at Casablanca Mohamed V International Airport.
Welcome by your English speaking Guide and transfer directly to Fez, Morocco cultural and spiritual capital. The transfer will take 4 hours drive. Arrival and transfer to Riad in the Heart of the Medieval Medina.
Day 2
Fez
After breakfast at the hotel, full day will be devoted to the historical visit of Fez: Bouanania Medersa, Karaouine Mosque (outside), the mousy Idriss Mosoleum (outside), the souks. In the evening visit of Fez Jdid and the Mellah, the Royal Palace (outside).
Day 3
Fez / Meknes / Volubilis / Fez
Buffet breakfast at the hotel before departure with your driver for a full day trip to visit Meknes & Volubilis ruins.
Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the infamous 18th century sultan, Moulay Ismail. Slaves labored night and day for 50 years to build an imperial showpiece to rival Versailles. Those that died on the job, it is rumored, were entombed in the city walls.
The Roman ruins of Volubilis, stretch out over 40 hectares, are the most well preserved ruins in Morocco.
Day 4
Fez / Marrakech
Buffet breakfast at the hotel before departure to Marrakech via the highway (about a 5 hours drive). Arrive by the afternoon into Marrakech – the Red Imperial City.
Check in to hotel.
Day 5
Marrakech
After breakfast, morning will be devoted to a sightseeing tour of Marrakech. This includes the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Coranic school “medersa.”
Day 6
Marrakech
After breakfast depart for an adventure day in 4×4 or Minivan to the high Atlas: a small village situated at 65 km from Marrakech in the High Atlas Mountains at an altitude of 1740 meters high.
The Kasbah Toubkal is perched on a great rock outcrop above the main village of Imlil. Explore the village, nearby hamlets and the surrounding mountain landscape, on foot or by mule. So impressive is the scenery that film director Martin Scorsese chose Imlil as one of the locations for Kundon, his firm about the Dalai Lama, temporarily transforming the casbah into a Tibetan monastery. It is a special place beyond the reach of the modern world. Stop during the hiking experience in a small typical house to experience the Berber simple life and share a mint tea with a berber family. Lunch at Kasbah du Toubkal.
Back to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon.
Day 7
Marrakech
After breakfast, morning will be devoted to a sightseeing tour of Marrakech. This tour includes Majorelle Gardes, the mouse Jemaa Ifna Square & the souks. The evening is free at your leisure before return to hotel or riad.
Day 8
Marrakech / Casablanca
After breakfast, check out and depart with your driver to Casablanca. Arrive by noon at the hotel and check in. In the afternoon we suggest a sightseeing tour of Casablanca.
Day 9
Casablanca
Buffet breakfast at the hotel before check out and leaving with your drive to Mohamed V Casablanca airport for departure to your final destination.
