This ultimate experience of the Morocco begins in Fez and brings you to Merzouga for the experience of a night in the middle of the Merzouga Dunes of the Sahara by camp. Enjoy the possibility to take a camel ride and enjoy the sunset. Continuing onto Marrakech with multiple different excursions and tours, giving you a truly ultimate, desert experience!

Itinerary

Day 1

Casablanca / Fez

Welcomed at Mohamed V Airport by your English speaking escort guide. Assistance and transfer directly to Fez is provided.

Arrive into Fez and check in to Riad.

Day 2

Fez / Meknes / Volubilis / Fez

Breakfast at your Riad and departure with your private guide and driver for a day trip to visit Meknes & Volubilis ruins.

Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the infamous 18^th century sultan, Moulay Ismail. Slaves labored night and day for 50 years to build an imperial showpiece to rival Versailles. Those that died on the job, it is rumored, were entombed in the city walls.

The Roman ruins of Volubilis, stretch out over 40 hectares, are the most well preserved ruins in Morocco.

Day 3

Fez

After breakfast the whole day will be devoted to the sightseeing of Fez, the most ancient of the imperial cities founded on the 8^th century by Moulay Idriss II. Visit the medical Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medusas, the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum and the karaouine mosque. In the afternoon visit Fez Jdid before returning back to the hotel by the end of the afternoon.

Day 4

Fez / Midelt / Erfoud

Depart to Erfoud via the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas passing by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft center. Stop in the Midelt in half way for lunch and then continue onto Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley. Transfer to hotel.

Day 5

Erfoud / Rissani / Merzouga

After breakfast leave in your Minibus and take 4×4 to go in the deep Sahara of Morocco. Stop on the way to visit Rissani, the holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty is buried.

Visit of the Kasbah built in the 17^th century and the Ksar Abbar ruins. Then continue to the famous Merzouga Dunes. Possibility to do a camel ride over the dunes and watch the sunset. Spend the night under deluxe camp tents in the middle of nowhere.

Day 6

Merzouga / Tinghir / Boumalne Dades

After breakfast head back to Erfoud by 4×4 and meet your drive to depart to Tinghir via the Tinjdad road. A visit of the magnificent Todra canyons which rocks reach 250m of altitude. Lunch at your own account in a local restaurant located in the center of Todra gorges.

Afterwards, continue towards Dades Valley roses.

Day 7

Boumalne Dades / Ouarzazate

Breakfast at the hotel and depart to Ourrzazate. Visit of the casbahs of Ait Benhaddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco, which has served as decor for many films like “Laurence of Arabia.” Lunch at the terrace of the restaurant facing the casbah.

In the evening return back to Ourrzazate, visit of Kasbah Taurirt and then transfer to your hotel.

Day 8

Ouarzazate / Marrakech

Buffet breakfast at the hotel then depart to Marrakech via the Tichka passes (2500 meters high) offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas Mountain. Arrive into Marrakech and transfer to your Riad.

Day 9

Marrakech

The entire day will be devoted to the visit of Marrakech, the second oldest Imperial city, known as the pearl of the South. The city was founded by the Almoravids at the end of the 11th century. The historical sightseeing includes the Menara Garden, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace and the Koutoubia mosque. In the afternoon, visit of the souks and handicraft quarters displaying a variety of items and the famous place Djemaa El Fna with its non stop entertainment.

Day 10

Marrakech / Essaouira / Marrakech

Buffet breakfast at the hotel then depart with your guide for a day trip to Essaouira. Return back to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon.

Day 11

Marrakech / Casablanca

After breakfast, check out and depart with your drive to Casablanca. Arrive by noon at the hotel and check in. In the afternoon we suggest to go for a sightseeing tour of Casablanca.

Day 12

Casablanca

Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to Marrakech Menara airport according to group flight schedule to depart to your final destination.
