Splendors of China – Yangzte River Cruise

Begin your tour in Beijing with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, The Chinese Medicine Shop, and the Temple of Heaven. Proceed on a tour exploring the famous Great Wall, Jade Museum, and the Ming Tombs. Towards the end of your tour in Beijing you will go on a fabulous Hutong tour with trishaw, visit a local pearl shop, and tour Olympic Park and Yashow Market. Experience a ride on one of China’s bullet trains, leaving Beijing and entering Xian. Xian is full of places to go and see. This is where the History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the South & North Square are located. Take an exciting bus tour of Tan Dynasty Street as well as viewing a Tang Dynasty Culture Show with a fabulous dinner. Other places to tour in Xian include the famous Terra-Cotta Warrior Museum and the Ancient City Wall. Transfer by air to Chongqing where you will be met and then transferred to your luxurious cruise on the world famous Yangtze River with the Victoria Cruise Ships. At the end of your cruise fly to Shanghai where you will visit the Bund, Oriental TV Tower, and Nanjing Road. Ending your tour will be an exciting experience with a boat ride through Zhujiajiao and tours of Yu Yuan Garden, a local tea shop, and Cheng Huang Miao market.

Beijing

Arrive Beijing. Met by our representative and transferred to your hotel to unwind and relax.

Day 2

Beijing (B/L/D)

Morning: Visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City.
Afternoon: Visit Chinese Medicine Shop and the Temple of Heaven.

Day 3

Beijing (B/L/D)

Full day tour trekking the Great Wall, touring the Jade Museum and Ming Tombs.

Day 4

Beijing (B/L/D)

Begin your day with a Hutong tour with trishaw while visiting the local pearl shop. End your day with a tour of Olympic Park and visiting Yashow Market.

Day 5

Xian (B/L/D)

Take the Bullet Train to Xian and have multiple tours including a visit to History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, South & North Square, and ending your day with a bus tour of Tang Dynasty Street and enjoying a Tang Dynasty Culture Show with a fabulous dinner.

Day 6

Xian – Chongqing (B/L/D)

Start your day with a tour of the Terra-Cotta Warrior Museum and visiting a local copy factory. Visit the Ancient City Wall before your flight to Chongqing where you will board your cruise ship on the Yangzte River.

Day 7

Yangtze River Cruise (B)

Visit Fengdu, touring either the “Ghost City”, or the new relocation village.

Day 8

Yangtze River Cruise

Morning: Enter the Three Gorges: touring the Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge
Evening: Sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks.
Additional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City.

Day 9

Yangtze River Cruise

Entering Yichang visit the largest gorge in the Three Gorges Dam, the Xiling Gorge.

Day 10

Yangtze River Cruise

An afternoon tour in Wuhan, visiting the Hubei Provincial Museum.

Day 11

Yangtze River Cruise

A full day excursion to Jiuhuashan or “Mountain of the Nine Lotuses”.

Day 12

Yangtze River Cruise

Visit Nanjing for a tour of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial and Qing Dynasty style bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple.

Day 13

Shanghai (B/L/D)

Arrive to Shanghai where you will visit the Bund and Oriental TV Tower. Also visit a local silk shop, Nanjing Road, and ERA acrobatic show.

Day 14

Shanghai (B/L/D)

A full day culture experience through Zhujiajiao Water Village by boat. Visits to Yu Yuan Garden, tea shop, and Cheng Huang Miao Market.

Day 15

Shanghai (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the USA.
