Luangwa & Livingstone with RPS
Upon arrival at Lusaka International Airport you will be met by our representative and assisted with immigration and customs procedures. You will then be directed to the domestic check-in counters for your flight to Mfuwe in the South Luangwa, this flight will take just over an hour.
Nkwali Camp, operated by Robin Pope Safaris, has rooms with open fronts and open-air bathrooms each overlooking the Luangwa River, the main Chitenji is built around a stunning clump of ebony trees and has a deck extending over the river. The road transfer from Mfuwe Airport to camp will be about 40 minutes.
After a couple of nights at Nkwali you will travel approximately 1hr 30 minutes as a game-drive to Tena Tena. This camp is set on the opposite bank of the Luangwa in the southernmost part of the Nsefu sector and to get to the camp, the river is crossed by boat. Tena is a tented camp and for many years has been regarded as the flag-ship of the Robin Pope Safaris Luangwa operation.
Nsefu Camp is a little further upstream again on the Eastern bank of the Luangwa River. Accommodation is in brick and thatch rondavels giving a pleasant contrast to the canvas found in most other camps. This will be your home for the next 3 days. Being the first photographic camp in the Luwanga Valley this is an historic site.
When you depart this camp, you will travel approximately 1hr 30 minutes to Mfuwe Airport for your onward flight to Livingstone.
