Everest Base Camp Trekking

Everest Base Camp is most probably the only trek that every trekker wishes to do once in his or her lifetime. This is a strenuous trek and a trekker should be well- prepared and properly acclimatized to complete this trek. You will see Mount Everest –the highest mountain on Earth and 3 other highest peaks of the world -Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu up-close. You will venture into the less traveled valleys lying below Everest, including the remote Gokyo Valley, with its festival of beautiful turquoise lakes and moonscape-like glaciers.

Hike the Kala Patar-from where you will have the best view of Mount Everest. Other peaks that loom right in front are Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Pumori, AmaDablam, and Island Peak. The experience of being so close to such awesome mountains, its purity and spirituality is something you will never forget. The friendly Sherpa people with their unique religion and culture are another attraction of this trip. You will have many opportunities to meet, interact and befriend them. You can try their salty butter tea in tea houses or indulge in sipping a glass of chang, homemade raw beer. Brightly-colored prayer flags fluttering in the breeze and beautifully-carved mani stones are the common sights along the trail and hillside.
