Day 1
Bangkok / Ayuthaya / Lopburi / Phitsanulok (L)

Early morning: Pick up passengers from hotel in Bangkok by private minibus or coach for Bang Pa In. Visit the Summer Palace. Afterwards take a local motor boat to Ayutthaya. Disembark at local pier and continue trip to visit temples of Wat Chai Mongkol, Wat Chai Wattanaram and Wat Srisanpetch. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Proceed to Lopburi and visit Phra Prang Sam Yod (Sacred three Spired Pagoda). Spend time around the city in pedaled rickshaws. Continue trip to Phitsanulok and transfer to your hotel. Rest of day is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities or relax by the swimming pool.

Day 2
Pitsanulok / Sukhothai / Lampang (B/L)

After breakfast, check out for tour to visit a Buddha-statues foundry and Wat Phra Sri Rattana Maha Dhat, housing the revered Buddha statue, Phra Buddha Jinaraj. Continue to Sukhothai with a short stop at a silo and rice-mill using traditional steam engine. On arrival in Sukhothai, visit the ancient ruins at Sukhothai Historical Park. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Thereafter proceed to Lampang and tour this old city by horse carriages. Visit Baan Sao Nak, a 100-year old teak-mansion and visit Wat Chedi Sao. Thereafter visit Wat Chedi Sao and then transfer to your hotel in Lampang.

Day 3
Lampang / Phayao /Chaing Rai (B/L)

This morning, check out of hotel and transfer to a Pineapple plantation (depending on season). Afterwards, drive to Chiang Rai via Prayao. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant in Chiang Rai. Continue tour to Chiang Saen, visit hilltribe villages during the war. On arrival in Chiang Sean, visit to the Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmer and Laos converge. A short boat trip on the Mekong River before returning to Chiang Rai.

Overnight at Rimkok Resort.

Day 4
Chiang Rai / Chiang Mai (B/L)

Early breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Chiang Mai. Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, visit handicraft villages where you can watch the artisans at work: see how lacquer-ware is made, the spinning and weaving of Thai Silk and how paper umbrellas are painted. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit Wat Doi Suthep tucked away in the mountains at 3,520 feet. The temple is reached by a staircase with 300 steps, flanked by a NAGA balustrade on both sides. The monastery was built by King Gue-Na in 1383. The center is a big Chedi (spire Pagoda) which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha.

After the visit of Wat Doi Suthep visit the most interesting places in Chiang Mai such as Wat Phra Singh with its famous Buddha image.

Optional evening program: Enjoy a typical Kantoke dinner with a presentation of traditional dances from Northern Thailand.

Day 5
Chiang Mai / Bangkok (B/L)

This morning, visit the elephant camp and watch the elephants taking timber in the forest; you will be amazed by their strength and clever teamwork. Lunch break at the camp. After lunch, visit an orchid farm before returning to hotel. Depart from Chiang Mai by second-class air-conditioned train with sleeping berth (Couchette)

Overnight on train.

Optional: Enjoy an elephant ride.

Day 6
Bangkok

Arrive at Bangkok railway station at 6.30 am and transfer by private minibus/coach with guide assistance to your hotel in Bangkok.
