Day 1
Kuching (B)
Arrive at Kuching Airport, Meet and transfer to the city, commence tour of Kuching City & River Tour (4 hours). The perfect introduction to Sarawak’s historic capital, this tour includes Kuching’s Chinatown, the Cat Statue (Kuching means “Cat” in Malay), the colorful Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the Civic Center Viewing Platform and the world famous Sarawak Museum. Across the river, visit the unique Cat Museum, passing the magnificent State Mosque and the Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs. Return via the golden-domed City Mosque and proceed on foot through Old Kuching, visiting the colorful Central Markets and squeezing through narrow alleyways crammed with spice dealers and textile shops. Pass by the heritage buildings of the White Rajah era, the Pavilion, the Square Tower, the Court House, the Charles Brooke Monument and the Post Office. Before tour ends, take a short 1 hour pontoon boat river cruise viewing the city. Rest of the day at leisure after check in to hotel.
Day 2
Kuching / Batang Ai (B/L/D)
Begin journey to Batang Ai after check-out of hotel. Batang Ai is approximately 166 miles form Kuching City. Pass through the scenic countryside consisting of quaint little towns, villages, paddy fields, pepper and oil palm plantations interspersed with secondary and virgin jungle as the road starts to wind and undulate as you go deeper into the interior. Stop for lunch at Lachau, a small town on the way to the resort. Arrive at the Hydro Lake and Lubok Antu. Board a shuttle ferry for the resort situated on the souther bank. Dinner will be served at the resort.
Day 3
Batang Ai / Iban Longhouse / Batang Ai (B/L/D)
Depart for Longhouse by motorized native longboat. The journey will take you across the lake into the Engkari River, one of the many tributaries flowing into the lake. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes before reaching the Longhouse nestled on a hill beside the river. Enjoy a short cultural performance by the inhabitant of the longhouse followed late on by a blow pipe demonstration. Lunch ill be provided. After lunch free at leisure until your return back to the resort via the same route.
Day 4
Batang Ai / Kuching / Miri (B/L)
After breakfast, check-out from the resort and depart for Kuching via the same route as your arrival. Stop for lunch at a small roadside town before continuing your journey to the airport. Meet at Miri airport and transfer to hotel for check-in, rest of the day free at own leisure.
Day 5
Miri / Mulu (B/D)
Meet on arrival at Mulu airport and transfer to resort for check-in. In the afternoon, transfer to Mulu Park HQ and take the 3 km plank walk to explore Lang’s and Deer Caves. Watch the bats flights if weather permits and return to the Park HQ and transfer back to the resort. Rest of the day free at your own leisure and dinner will be served at the resort.
Day 6
Mulu (B/L/D)
We will depart by longboat to explore Wind Cave with a stopover at the Penan Longhouse. Later we proceed to explore Clearwater Cave. Swim and lunch at local restaurant before we are transfer back to the resort where dinner will also be served.
Day 7
Mulu (B)
Free to explore the surrounding Mulu area on your own before you transfer to Mulu airport for your flight to your final destination.
