The Kalahari Safari – Botswana
This safari offers an insight into the culture and history of the Kalahari’s oldest inhabitants. It is ideal for the adventure enthusiast offering breathtaking scenery, desert wildlife and the privilege of an introduction to the traditional lifestyle of the San Bushmen.

Day 1
Arrive Maun
As your safari starts at 07.30 am, it is a requirement that you pre-night in Maun and purchase drinks for your safari the previous day.
On arrival in Maun (Botswana), you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Meals at your own expense.
Overnight in lodge in Maun on twin sharing basis.
Day 2
Maun / Ghanzi – Bushman Experience (L/D)
The safari begins in Maun, where your guide will meet you at 07.30 am at a pre-arranged meeting point. Travel 186 miles (4 hours) to a game farm on the western side of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, set up camp and have a safari briefing. In the afternoon, participate in a nature walk led by local Bushmen trackers. They will share their intricate bush knowledge and give you an insight into their unique and intriguing culture. In the evening you will be treated to a traditional Bushman dance around the campfire.

Day 3
Central Kalahari Game Reserve (B/L/D)
Wake up as the sun rises and enter the pristine wilderness of the largest game reserve in Botswana. The next four days will be exploring the undeveloped wilderness of the northern region of the Kalahari, moving from camp to camp. Visit Pipers Pan, Passarge Valley and Deception Valley. Savour the vast open spaces, clear night skies and uninterrupted beauty on game drives and at camp. This is adventure camping in its purest form, water and communications are limited whilst you travel as a self-sufficient group. Camping is in a designated campsite with fixed/bush ablutions.

Kalahari / Maun (B/L)
After your final morning game drive in the Kalahari, break camp and return to Maun (5-6 hours) for your last night.
Dinner is at your own expense at the lodge.
Overnight in a comfortable lodge.
Day 8
Maun
The safari officially ends at 08.00 am. Post-tour accommodation, activities and transfers can be arranged at an additional cost.
