Todra Gorges is where you can walk amid the towering canyon walls. Traveling to this location is especially rewarding with a romantic view of the empty desert. As you leave the Todra Gorges, visit Kelaa Mjouna, located in the captivating city of Quarzazate. This area is famous for its Persian roses. Other spectacular sightseeing includes: Glaoui Kasbah of Taourirt and the stunning medieval fortress of Ait Benhaddou, immortalized by Hollywood in Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy and Gladiator.

In Marrakech you will discover the city’s architectural attractions, to include: the 12th century Koutoubia Miaret and the fascinating 19th century Bahya Palace, the labyrinthine souks with their colorful bazaars and shops, the world renowned Djemaa El Fna Square where fir-eaters, mime artists and street musicians will perform at every turn.

Fez / Erfoud

Drive through fertile valleys, Cedar forests and beautiful lakes of the Middle Atlas Mountains to Erfoud on the edge of the Sahara desert. Optional lunch break in Midelt before starting your descent into the impressive palm groves of the Tafilalet.

Day 4
Erfoud / Merzouga / Erfoud

Morning: Visit the ancient fortified town of Rissani.

Afternoon: Drive further south to Erg Chebbi. Ride camel in the sand dunes before returning to Erfoud.

Day 5
Erfoud / Ouarzazate

Drive through the empty desert to the spectacular Todra Gorges. On arrival, take a walk amid towering canyon walls. Optional lunch before continuing to the Ouarzazate. En route, visit Kelaa Mgouna.

Day 6
Ouarzazate / Marrakech

Visit the Glaoui Kasbah of Taourirt, and the medieval fortress of Ait Benhaddou.

Marrakech
