Day 1
Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech Menara airport to be welcomed and transferred by bus or minibus to your hotel by our English speaking escort guide.
Day 2
Marrakech
Full day visit by bus of Marrakech in the program, we will focus on the following sites & monuments: Koutobia Mosque, the Ben Youssef Medersa, Bahia Palace, the souks and the square. Return to your hotel at the end of tour.
Day 3
Marrakech / Oarzazate
Depart after breakfast by bus or minibus from Marrakech toward Ourrzazate in the deep south of Morocco. The road of Marrakech to Ourrzazate joins a continuation of villages characteristic of north side of the High Atlas, formed with small houses of beaten stone, on which the but turns a golden color in the sun.
At 2260m of altitude we reach the peak of Tizi n-tichka, the “pastures peak,” the highest road passage of Morocco. We will call a halt to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch there in a local restaurant facing the Kasbah. After reaching the Kasbah of tourist, old residence of the Glaoui. It was formed of rich flats; simple houses built on rammed clay and crenelated towers which are decorated with geometric design.
Day 4
Ouarzazate / Zagora
After Ourrzazate we continue through the narrow pass of Tifernine and the Tizi Tinifift (1660m), point seen of the high atlas range. We join Agdz which is dominated by the enormous cliff of the Jbel Nissan. From there to Zagora, the road follows the Draa River and its rosary of palm groves producing famous dates and sprinkled with up to fifty casbahs (Berber houses built on rammed clay) and Ksours (walled Berber villages). The Draa was, in the ante, a permanent stream, the longest one of Morocco. Today its waters, that take birth close to Ourrzazate disappear in the sand after having covered up to 250km. The Draa comes up against a mountainous fold to the west extremity of the Jbel Saghro, valley broadside of the palm groves, fields and superb Ksours.
Day 5
Zagora / Tazzarine / Alnif / Merzouga
After breakfast depart by bus to Merzouga dunes via Tazzarine & Alnif. Lunch will be on the way at a local restaurant. Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight in luxury camp.
Day 6
Merzouga / Erfoud / Tinghir / Boumalne Dades
Wake up in the early morning and depart by jeeps to assist to the sunrise over the sandy=dunes of Merzouga. Back to Erfoud by 4×4 and than breakfast at the hotel. Check out and depart by bus to Rissani the holly city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty is buried. Visit of the Kasbah built in 17th century and the Ksar Abbar ruins. Continue onto Tingler via the Tinjdad road. Visit of the magnificent Todra canyons which rocks reach 250m of altitude. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and continue to Dades Valley where you will check in to your hotel.
Day 7
Boumalne Dades / Ouarzazate
Breakfast at the hotel before departing to Ourrzazate by crossing the valley of roses, “Kalaa M’Gouna”. Have an opportunity to visit the film studios of Ourrzazate where a lot of American and other European movies were shot like: “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Asterix,” “Obelix Mission Cleopatre” & “Alexander the great.”
Day 8
Ouarzazate / Marrakech
Buffet breakfast at the hotel and transfer back to Marrakech by your private minibus. Free lunch and check in at your hotel. In the evening visit the beautiful gardens of Marrakech: the Agdal & Menara gardens and finish with Majorelle Gardens.
Day 9
Marrakech / Ourika Valley / Marrakech
After breakfast depart to the scenic and “authentic” Durika Valley where people still go to market by donkey. Light a candle at the tomb of Tzaddik Rabbi Shloma ben Hans in the High Atlas. Pilgrimages to the tombs of Jewish “saints” are unique to Judaism in Morocco, and this is one of the most important. Once a year in the spring Jews of Moroccan descent and Muslims as well converge on the site for a weekend of festivities. Lunch is at your own account. In the late afternoon return back to Marrakech.
Day 10
Marrakech / Essaouira / Marrakech
Buffet breakfast at the hotel then depart to Essaouira for a day trip. Return to Marrakech by the end of the afternoon.
Day 11
Marrakech / Casablanca
After breakfast at your hotel depart with your private driver & minibus to Casablanca. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the economical capital of Morocco.
Day 12
Casablanca
Buffet breakfast at the hotel before check out to be transferred to Mohamed V Airport by our escort guide for your departure to your final destination.
