Day 1
Arrive Yangon

On arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our English speaking guide and transferred to your Hotel to unwind and rest for the rest of the day.

Day 2
Yangon (B)

Start your day with a tour of Yangon. Visit Chauk-htat-gyi Buddha, the 230 ft. long reclining Buddha statue and its monastic compounds. Drive around the Sule pagoda, which is landmark of the downtown Yangon and then through the colonial style buildings.

In the afternoon, drive around scenic Royal Lake to Karaweik Hall, you will have an opportunity to view the world-famous Shwe Dagon Pagoda.

Day 3
Yangon / Mandalay / Join RTM Cruise (B/L/D)

This morning, take a domestic flight to Mandalay, where the Konbaung kings resided and eventually capitulated to the British, more than 100 years ago.

Transfer to the “Road To Mandalay” berthed on the Ayeyarwady River at Shwe Kyet Yet. Settle into your comfortable private cabin.
After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay, the center of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to the “Road To Mandalay” stopping en route to admire the mesmorizing sunset over the river. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 4
(THURSDAY) Mandalay / Bagan (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast visit the Sagaing Hills, the living center of the Buddhist faith in Burma and famous for its silver and silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors. The ship gets underway mid-morning, and begins its journey south. The rest of the day is spent relaxing on board observing local river life from the top deck. An on-board guide will present details about the local villages and customs. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 5
(FRIDAY) Bagan (B/L/D)

The ship arrives at Bagan where over 2,000 temples and pagodas dominate this ancient and awe-inspiring plain. A guided orientation tour introduces you to the most important temples. After lunch, you have the opportunity to rejoin the guide and visit the interiors of the more significant pagodas. Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this fascinating area on your own. Late afternoon, your guide takes you to watch the breathtaking vista of the sun setting over the plain. Dinner and local entertainment.

Day 6
(SATURDAY) Bagan / Heho / Ayetharyar (B)

After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Heho. Drive to Ayetharyar, where you can visit Vineyard and Winery, and you can see Myanmar’s only red and white wines being made from the vines grown and harvested on the hill slopes. Drive back to Nyaung Shwe, boat transfer to Inle Lake.

Day 7
Boat Excursion at Inle Lake (B)

Visit the great Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda with five holy Buddha images, floating villages with its garden, Nge Phe Chaung monastery with its Buddha images. See traditional handicrafts, silk weaving on wooden handlooms and a blacksmith shop. Walk through the small creek to enjoy the boat tour to Inn dein, at the western end of the Lake. The boat takes you through a long channel where you watch the farmers cultivate their produce. This ride is one of the most scenic boat tours on Lake Inle.

Day 8
Inle – Heho – Yangon (B)

Enjoy a boat trip on Inle Lake – a photographer’s dream, its calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop. In the afternoon, fly back to Yangon and transfer to your Hotel.

Day 9
Yangon / Departure (B)

Depending on the time of your departure flight, you may visit Bogyoke (Scott) Market (market closed on Monday) where you have the chance to buy souvenirs.

Later, transfer to the Yangon airport for your departure flight.
