Day 1
Arrive Yangon

Welcome to our World!

Arrive in the Burmese capital. After passing through Immigration and Customs formalities, you will be welcomed by our English speaking local guide, who will transfer you to your Hotel.

Take a drive around the scenic Royal Lake to Karaweik Hall, a ship-like construction built in the shape of the mythological bird Karaweik with the world famous Shwe Dagon Pagoda in the background!

Visit the 350 feet high golden Stupa of Shwe Dagon Paya – this is the ‘heart’ of Buddhist Myanmar, believed to be 2,500 years old.

Day 2
Bagan

Today you will experience the glory of the Bagan Dynasty. Take a 80 minutes morning flight to Bagan, the first and most beautiful capital of the Burmese, founded in the eleventh century by a great king. Along with Angkor in Cambodia, this is the most important temple and pagoda complex in Asia.

A day full of culture viewing the most beautiful temples and pagodas leisurely, but in detail.

In the afternoon, visit Ananda Pahto whose interior seems almost Gothic and is considered to be the most beautiful among all the temples of Bagan. Facing outward from the center of the cube are four 31 feet tall standing Buddhas.

Day 3
Bagan

To the Olympia of the Deities..
Take a morning stroll through the marketplace of Nyaung U and get a glimpse into the lifestyle of Burmese people. Drive through the sun-parched plain with Palmyra palms to the Mountain of Deities, Popa (2 hours) and climb the huge volcanic rock on a staircase to see shrines for nats (celestial spirits of Burmese mythology) and small temples for Lord Buddha. It will take you about 20 minutes to reach the top of Mount Popa (Sanscrit word for Flower). Just in time for sunset, to enjoy the scenic beauty of Bagan with a boat ride in the Ayeyarwaddy River.

Day 4
Bagan / Mandalay

After breakfast, transfer to airport for 30 minute plane ride to Mandalay, where the Konbaung kings resided and eventually capitulated to the British, more than 100 years ago. Check in at hotel.

Visit the Mahamuni Buddha Image: housing the country’s holiest Buddha image, century-old and legendary Arakan Buddha, made of pure gold. 13 foot high seated image is cast in bronze, but over the years thousands of devout Buddhists have completely covered the figure in a thick layer of gold leaf. Then visit the Gold leave pounding place, marble and Bronze making places. Shwe Nandaw monastery: the famous fine traditional Burmese Golden Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 marble slabs showing the entire Buddhist canon and commemorating the Fifth Buddhist World Council at the end of last century. If you are still feel fresh, you might climb up to the top of Mandalay Hill for a bird’s eye view (or take the elevator).

Day 5
Excursion Mingun / Sagaing / Amarapura

On the Elephant River!
Today you will travel the Ayeyarwaddy, the mighty Elephant river, and enjoy its sights of washerwomen among buffalo carts at the river bank. It takes one hour upstream to reach Mingun where a mighty king once tried to build the world’s biggest pagoda and failed. Yet even the dimension of his failure is still impressive.

In the afternoon continue visit to Sagaing hills meditation centre, to a hilltop pagoda- your clients will be fascinated by the view over temples and pagodas in Sagaing and over Ayeyarwaddy River.

Continue drive to the temples and small pagodas of former ancient capital Amarapura (Sanscrit for Beautiful town). Enjoy sunset and take a walk over the world’s longest teakwood bridge U Bein. Proceed to Mandalay for overnight stay.

Day 6
Mandalay / Heho / Inle Lake

To hill station..This morning drive to the Airport for a 30 minute flight to Heho ca and a one hour drive to Nyaung Shwe – the biggest village and former capital of local Shan kings at Inle Lake. Board your local boat transfer to the hotel for your check in. Rest of the day at expedition in the lake.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on Inle Lake – a photographer’s dream, its calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop.

Visit the great Phaung Daw Oo pagoda with five holy Buddha images, floating villages with its garden, Nge Phe Chaung monastery with its Buddha images etc.

Overnight on Inle Lake.

Day 7
Inle Lake / Inn Dein

Excursion to Inle Lake, the land of the Intha people. These people are known as leg-rowers and as architects of floating villages and gardens. The life of the Intha, who originally came from the south of Burma, revolves completely around the lake. See the lake’s unique “leg rowers” – the Intha people row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar.

See traditional handicrafts, silk weaving on wooden handlooms and a blacksmith shop. In Dein continue visit to Pao village of In Dein where thousands of stupa are located.

Overnight in Inn Dein.

Day 8
Inle Lake / Heho / Yangon

Boat transfer to jetty and then transfer to airport for flight back to Yangon, the Golden City. Transfer to Hotel.
Take a walking tour on the busiest street of Yangon down town Pansodan Street to Nanthida jetty where you can see the bustling people.

Visit Botataung Pagoda located close to Yangon River – said to contain the two hairs relic of Gawdama Buddha.

Next visit the reclining Chauk-htat-gyi Buddha and its monastic compounds, Bogyoke market for souvenirs and continue to China Town.

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 9
Yangon / Departure

The end of your tour as you transfer to airport for your international departure flight.
